When we see signs of new food places coming soon, we think of seafood or pizza. After all, those seem to be the two types of food that will undoubtedly bring in people. But, depending on the size, we can almost guess if it will be another pizza eatery. Not that I don’t love pizza, I do, but with the number of pizzerias who need another one. So, from wood-burning, deep dish, square or the traditional pie, my first thought, okay, what makes this so unique? So, another pizza place coming to Atlantic City will join a slew of other restaurants on the revival of Tennessee Avenue.
Cuzzie’s Pizzeria in Atlantic City is the newest lineup of restaurants on Tennessee Avenue. The Italian American establishment promises to be not just your average pizza place. The food is dressed up, while Cuzzie’s is dressed down, your more walk in and walk out site. Those looking for a sit-down place can go next door to Rhythm and Spirits (owned by the same people). What makes this special is its custom wood-burning oven with an open flame. And they pride themselves with unique special toppings, the right cheese blend that includes mozzarella, manchego, parmesan cheeses, and that right sauce blend. Of course, the pizza can stand on its own underneath the cheese, sauce, and toppings. With the right ingredients, you can achieve perfection. According to the executive chef, what makes Cuzzie’s pizzeria stand out from the others is not the ingredients or the dough, and not your basic oven, instead what is used has 600 degrees of open fire above it!”
