A RETURN TO GLORY

As with everything, there comes a time when change must occur. To some, change is good; if it’s working, then why change? Atlantic City, we all know, has seen change after change. At one time, it was good, but it didn’t last. As we enter post-pandemic and Summer, we may see a return to Glory, but better. Bally’s Casino, located on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City, has seen changes and was purchased two years ago by Twin River Worldwide Holdings. At that time, promises were made for massive renovations and to experience a casino resort comparable to its competitors.

What better way for that to come true than the start of the summer season. You got it; Memorial Day weekend, witness the massive renovations that have taken place.   Besides a slew of new restaurants and bars, there’s also a revamped card system for players’ rewards.

If your travels take you to Atlantic City, here’s what to expect this weekend:

Included in the renovation are Seven Hundred and Fifty rooms and suites. Inspired by the heart and soul of Atlantic City, each room will feature a design of the soothing coastal environment, inside and out. Brighter coloring, brand new carpet inlays, and new flooring. The suite floors 45 -48 will feature 16 new penthouse suites equipped with dining areas, pool tables, a wet bar, and custom rainfall showers. You can experience spa-like bathrooms, sunken tubs with spa-like features of modern vanities, tiled illuminated mirrors, and new showers.

Perhaps the most anticipated will be the new Hotel lobby and carousel bar. The refreshed lobby represents a unique experience from arrival to departure. The Carousel bar rotates at 360. Similar to a hotel in New Orleans. Features include a high 24-seat rotating bar, the first of its kind in all of New Jersey. Enjoy modern cocktails 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If anything, experiencing a complete 360 in just 8 minutes is a must-see attraction. The Carousel Bar is a new addition, but the lobby has also changed for the better. You will experience a whole contemporary feel in the lobby. Some of its features are multi-colored lights and entertainment.

One of the most remarkable properties in Atlantic City is The Yard, which was once Harry’s Oyster bar. Beer, Eats, and Beats is a beer garden-style venue offering live entertainment, a gastropub menu, a tap list featuring local and national brewers, and a wide range of craft cocktails under a glass dome. Also, enjoy the 90-s themed arcade games, with lounge-style seating and an indoor and outdoor stage for live entertainment.

The Yard will be expanded during the July 4th weekend to offer an exterior experience that will undoubtedly become a significant hang-out on beautiful summer days and nights. Bally’s beach bar is arguably the best in Atlantic City and now offers Legends VIP Beach and Rewards for members’ private lounge seating, butler service, towel service, beach massages, security, and personal food and beverage service. Reservations are required.

This grand opening celebration wouldn’t be complete without the largest fireworks display on Sunday, seen from the boardwalk, The Yard, Johnny Rockets, and Bally’s Beach Bar. This grand opening celebration begins Friday, an entire weekend of fun and celebration, featuring a Jeep Giveaway both Friday and Saturday.

In the game of Monopoly, Park Place and Boardwalk are the properties to own. It’s no secret this large casino property has been neglected for a while. However, the renovations and the added additions were way overdue. The new owners wanted a property they could be proud of, and now they have that in Bally’s.
