Like a lot of places in Atlantic City, revitalization is underway or has taken place. Casinos, the boardwalk, hotels, areas, and streets. One street has gone through a significant transformation. Tennessee Avenue is a street close to the boardwalk that was once a distressed area; a few years ago, you wouldn’t have thought twice about walking down. Let alone there wasn’t much there, nor to see, other than a pub.
But all that has changed; what was once a place you went to find trouble is now a booming area development with businesses, restaurants/bars, and live entertainment. Tennessee Avenue Beer Hall is now a hot tourism spot. A block party will be taking place Saturday, July 31, 2021. Live music, food, artists local craft vendors will descend upon the redeveloped community. It all kicks off, starting at noon and ending at midnight. Best of all, this festival is free. This festival is something the community can look forward to every year. Music, food, arts, cocktails, and lots of beer you won’t find anywhere else. It is an effort to give back to the community and transform Tennessee Avenue and Atlantic City into a tourism mecca and the locals’ hangout spot. Live bands will be performing on the main stage, all day and night. Bring your chairs so you won’t be standing the entire day unless you want to.
To start the party off right, Friday will feature Rock and Roll Famers, Hall, and Oates at 9 p.m. in the Beer Hall’s gorgeous yard. The list of entertainers include:
Quasimodo’s Bride – is a local alt-rock band fronted by ever-talented vocalist Mandy Lee.
LeCompt – This band can sonically morph into whatever group they are performing the music, whether Elton John, Bowie, Guns ’n’ Roses, or any classic rock act.
Van Hagar – Hagar will be focusing on the 1986 to 1995 period of Van Halen’s career; this tribute band pays homage to the latter years of one of the most musically progressive rock bands ever.
Fast Lane – Will perform some of the catchiest melodies ever recorded. If you’re a fan of the Eagles, then you want to stick around for this.
You won’t go hungry – the restaurants will be open during the entire festival so you can pop in, grab a bite, a full meal, and a cocktail, more than enough to satisfy your hunger and quench your thirst. If it’s a beer you’re looking for, you can choose from 40 beers on tap and more than 100 others in cans and bottles; a craft beer truck will pour some excellent brews right on the street near the stage. With all this beer, beer lovers will no doubt find their favorite. Food trucks and vendors will also be on hand. Whatever your pleasure, all will be right here.
Whether you go for the music or other festivities, you don’t want to miss this fantastic festival; celebrate the revitalization of this community. Tennessee Avenue Beer Hall is your next tourism spot in Atlantic City.
